Terms and Conditions of Apprenticeship training provided by JBC Computer Training Ltd

  1. Definitions
    1. “Applicant” means the person applying for a training place.
    2. “JBC” means JBC Computer Training Limited.
  2. An apprenticeship training place consists of full-time training delivered Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm, at JBC’s Training Centres in either Coventry or Leicester. The training will cover all the requirements of the Avanced ICT Apprenticeship framework (level 3).
  3. To be eligible for an apprenticeship the Applicant must be a UK citizen and have been resident in the UK for at least the last 3 years.
  4. Applicants must attend a selection and assessment interview before any offer of an apprenticeship shall be made. The selection interview requires an Applicant to visit JBC’s Coventry or Leicester Training Centre and be assessed by JBC as to their ability and suitability to complete the apprenticeship programme. There is no fee for attending a selection interview. Any visits to attend a selection interview must be agreed and booked in advance with JBC.
  5. Any offer of an apprenticeship will be made in writing by JBC to the Applicant.
  6. Applicants can start training on the next available training programme after receiving an offer of an apprenticeship. A list of start dates will be provided to the Applicant with their offer of an apprenticeship. All places on apprenticeship training programmes must be booked and agreed in advance with JBC.
  7. During the training course Applicants shall complete work towards one or more IT qualifications. Successful completion of the training programme and of any assessments will be required before any qualification is awarded to the Applicant. No fee is required from the Applicant to be entered for a qualification nor to sit any assessment nor to receive a qualification. 
  8. All materials required to complete the training programme, such as books or computer equipment, will be provided by JBC at no charge to the Applicant. Property loaned to the Applicant for use on the training programme remains the property of JBC and shall be returned to JBC at the end of the training programme or immediately on request.
  9. The Applicant shall be required to commit to being available to attend full-time training at JBC’s Training Centre for the appropriate period, prior to accepting an offer of an apprenticeship.
  10. The Applicant shall be required to present themselves on time at JBC’s Training Centre for each session of the training programme.
  11. The Applicant shall be required to dress in smart business attire at all times when attending the training course.
  12. JBC reserves the right to withdraw any offer of an apprenticeship or terminate any current training programme at any time.
