Career roadmap for IT System support
An entry point into IT systems support is available, if you have a solid foundation of key skills and basic competence. Your future career development will then depend on gaining commercial experience and keeping your knowledge up to date.
Use your Resettlement wisely
The entitlement to attend 4 to 7 weeks of full-time training, during your resettlement, is your opportunity to gain practical experience as well as a start on the road to professional qualifications. The roadmap opposite is our recommended mix of Microsoft Academy courses and additional key-skills training. Together they build a thorough understanding of typical job roles at entry level and beyond. The whole roadmap is designed to underpin the first 12 to 24 months of your new career.
The elements of this roadmap are discussed and a challenging resettlement training programme is agreed at your assessment interview, which takes account of your existing skill levels, capabilities and the length of your entitlement.
Follow up learning using ELCAS
Courses to gain further qualifications can be paid for using your ELCAS entitlements, if you have them, and included in your overall training plan. See the road map options to show typical courses available for Lower and Upper Tier ELCAS entitlements.
Job finding support
A very important part of JBC resettlement training is the support you get to secure employment. JBC is an IT company and is therefore uniquely placed to offer insights into the requirements of employers and provide access to long established contacts who have job opportunities available.
